EDUCATION PROGRAM

Education programs aimed at upgrading the quality of education in Mongolia to international level at both secondary and high educational levels by cooperation in educational standards and curriculm reform, teacher training and material development in line with the needs and demands of open society values.

General Education
Open schools is a three year general education reform program designed to improve the quality of education in Mongolia inline with needs of open society and modern economy through (1) institutionalization of innovative concepts, ideas and results of MFOS educational programs in educational standards and curricula, in educational institutions, and into civil society organizations; (2) building effective system for educational performance and achievement. (3) Reform minded schools and teachers effectively networked for their further innovation, creativity and participation in not only educational policy making, but also in other important matters of society.

Higher Education
The Mongolian Higher Education Support Program aims to improve the quality of teaching of social sciences at the Mongolian universities through assistance to the retraining of young professors and support to the curriculum development initiatives.
