for Open Society is organized around three program areas:
Open Society Forum, Civil Society Programs, and Social
Sector Programs.
Open Society Forum
Open Society Forum provides a venue for public engagement
in policy-making, policy formulation and policy implementation
monitoring, providing the physical and virtual space
for policy research, analysis and broad public access
to information resources about policies, laws, and issues
of concern.

Civil Society Programs
The Civil Society programs aim to support initiatives
and activities which promote (1) transparency, accountability
and openness of the police, (2) strengthening fair and
effective legal protection of citizens based on the
rule of law and (3) ensuring protection of gender equity
and equality as well as (4) shifting away from addressing
issues of supply to those of demand, (5) ensuring that
the pilot projects and innovative experiences carried
out by the Foundation are ready to be replicated and
institutionalized and (6) improving content and access
to content.
